They believed that everything written in the bible is true. Fundamentalists also rejected the theory of evolution, they especially did not agree that humans had evolved from apes.

The scope Trial challenged the law that stated that it was a crime to teach evolution, which was passed in Tennessee .

3. The "double standard" created two different behavior rules for who?
The "double standard" was a set of principles granting greater sexual freedom to men than to women. It required women to observe stricter standards of behavior than men did.

Charles Lindbergh became famous because he made the first nonstop solo flight across the Atlantic. Louis Armstrong was a famous Jazz musician.

The Harlem Renaissance was an artistic movement created by African-Americans in New York.
